GIGABYTE says India’s rapidly growing gaming and PC market is the reason it chose the country as the manufacturing base for its newest laptop, the GIGABYTE GAMING A16, its first gaming laptop to be built in India. The company describes India as one of the world’s most dynamic PC and gaming markets, driven by an expanding community of gamers, creators, students and technology enthusiasts.

The GAMING A16 is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor and is designed to deliver gaming as well as AI-ready computing experiences by using AMD’s technologies. To manufacture the lineup locally, GIGABYTE partnered with Dixon Technologies, combining its own global engineering and quality standards with Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities.

GIGABYTE’s leadership team worked closely with Dixon Technologies throughout the project, overseeing every stage to ensure the India-built lineup meets the company’s global benchmarks for performance, reliability and quality. Sinclair Hsiao, GIGABYTE’s vice president of global sales, visited India for the launch along with senior leaders from the company’s headquarters spanning Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance.

‘The launch of our first Made in India gaming laptop lineup, powered by AMD Ryzen processors, is more than a manufacturing milestone, it represents GIGABYTE’s long-term commitment to the Indian market,’ Hsiao said. ‘India has become one of the most exciting technology and gaming markets in the world, and we believe Indian consumers deserve products built to the same uncompromising global standards that gamers everywhere expect from GIGABYTE.’

‘This is only the beginning,’ Hsiao added. ‘We will continue investing in India, strengthening our local manufacturing capabilities, and bringing more world-class gaming technologies closer to Indian consumers.’ GIGABYTE said local production backed by global expertise is meant to strengthen its supply chain resilience and improve how responsively it can serve the Indian market.

The company said the GAMING A16 launch marks the beginning of a new chapter in its India journey, built on continued investment, deeper local manufacturing and closer collaboration with partners such as Dixon Technologies.
