Hyderabad travellers may soon get Emirates A380 flights
Emirates has signalled plans to bring its Airbus A380 aircraft to Hyderabad, offering travellers a bigger long-haul option as the airline marks 25 years in the city.
Travellers flying out of Hyderabad may soon have the option of boarding an Emirates Airbus A380, after the airline signalled its willingness to launch A380 services on the route.
Mohammed Sarhan, vice president (India) of Emirates, shared the plan during a courtesy call on Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, an occasion that marked the completion of 25 years of Emirates’ operations in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy welcomed the airline’s operations and requested Emirates to increase its overall flight frequency to the city. He also urged the airline to extend its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations to two upcoming airports in the state, at Warangal and Adilabad, assuring all necessary facilities from the government’s side.
The A380, Emirates’ largest aircraft, typically flies on the airline’s busiest long-haul routes, and its introduction in Hyderabad would give the city one of its biggest wide-body connections yet.
